RICHTERSVELD

Heritage Trophy 2022 – Richtersveld
17 to 24 September

The adventurous route takes us from Vioolsdrif on to Ais-Ais and the Fish River Canyon in Namibia, via Sendelingsdrif ferry to the Richtersveld National Park in South Africa, the Richtersveld conservation area and will end at Goegap near Springbok. This is a typical self-drive, self-sufficient overlanding trip in a 4×4 with high ground clearance – no towing allowed. The convoy is limited to maximum 10 guest vehicles.

We plan to visit 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites in South Africa for hosting the exclusive Heritage Trophy events as follows:

Eastern Cape

Baviaanskloof, Swartberg. Focus of this event is the rich ecological, archaeological, and cultural history of the area and its indigenous people.

Western Cape

Cederberg, Cape Floral Region (Namaqua), Boosmansbos Wilderness Area, Robin Island, Table Mountain.

Western Cape

De Hoop Nature Reserve. Focus of this event is the rich natural fauna and flora, and a vast and fascinating variety of marine life.

KZN

Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, Ukhahlamba-Drakensberg.

Gauteng and Free State

Vredefort Dome in combination with Cradle of Humankind.
